02 What we fix
Four jobs, one badge
Everything below is Viking equipment in Issaquah homes. If it carries another badge we will tell you on the phone rather than drive out and charge you for the trip.
-
Open the range pageRange Repair
Sealed-burner ignition, gas valves, griddle plates and oven cavities on Viking Professional and Tuscany ranges.
Calls we take
- Front left burner clicks and clicks but never catches
- Burner lights, then drops out the second I let go of the knob
- Simmer setting still runs a full flame — nothing turns it down
-
Open the refrigerator pageRefrigerator Repair
Built-in Viking column and French-door refrigeration: defrost faults, evaporator fans, ice fill and sealed-system work.
Calls we take
- Fresh food side sits around 50°F while the freezer is still rock hard
- Water dripping from the ceiling of the fresh food compartment
- Compressor runs non-stop and the cabinet never pulls down
-
Open the oven pageOven Repair
Wall ovens and range cavities that overshoot, undershoot, throw F-codes or stop holding a seal.
Calls we take
- Thermometer reads 40 degrees over whatever I set it to
- F1 on the display and the panel beeps until I cut the breaker
- Convection fan spins but the cavity never gets hot
-
Open the dishwasher pageDishwasher Repair
Viking Professional 24-inch dishwashers: drain faults, mid-cycle stops, dispenser failures and door leaks.
Calls we take
- Two inches of standing water in the sump when the cycle ends
- Starts fine, then stops dead about ten minutes in
- Detergent cup never opens — the tablet is sitting there whole
03 Series we carry parts for
The model board
What comes through the door in Issaquah, what fails on it, and what is already sitting in the van. Find your series on the plate behind the kick panel or inside the door jamb.
| Series | Typical units | What usually fails | Held on the van |
|---|---|---|---|
| Professional 5 Series | VGR / VGIC / VGCC gas ranges, 30"–66" | Spark modules that chatter on one burner, oven thermostat drifting hot, burner cap corrosion. | Spark module, electrode, oven igniter |
| Professional 7 Series | VGR7 / VDR7 dual-fuel ranges | Relay board failures behind the control panel, convection element open circuit, blower bearing noise. | Relay board, convection element |
| Tuscany | VTGR / VTDR ranges | Brass burner caps pitting, valve stems stiffening, simmer setting stuck at full flame. | Burner caps, valve rebuild kit |
| 5 Series Built-In Refrigeration | VCSB / VBI 36"–48" columns | Evaporator fan motors seizing, defrost circuit failing and icing the coil, ice fill valves not opening. | Evap fan motor, defrost thermostat, fill valve |
| Designer & Virtuoso 6 | DDFF / VCFF French-door and bottom-freezer | Damper control sticking so one compartment runs warm, door alarm faults, condensate drain blocking. | Damper assembly, drain heater |
| Built-In Wall Ovens | VSOE / VEDO / VDOF single and double | F1 and F3 control errors, temperature calibration out by 30–50°F, hinge sag breaking the door seal. | Control board, hinge set, door gasket |
| Professional Dishwashers | FDWU / VDWU 24" integrated | Drain pumps jamming on glass fragments, door latch switch failing mid-cycle, dispenser solenoid dead. | Drain pump, latch switch, dispenser |
Not on the list? Older Viking equipment is still worth a call — most of it shares burner sets, valves and control architecture with the series above.
04 What it costs
The price board
One figure is published, because it is the one we can hold to before we have seen your appliance: a $89 service call, credited in full against an approved repair. Repair prices are not on a list, because a list you cannot rely on is worse than none — so here is what actually moves the number on each job instead. You get one firm figure on the day, in writing, before anything is opened up, and nothing starts until you agree it.
| Job | What drives the number | What that covers |
|---|---|---|
| Service call | $89 | Covers the visit, the meter work and a written price before anything is opened. Credited in full against an approved repair. |
| Burner ignition — module or electrode | Which part it turns out to be. An electrode is a fraction of a spark module, and it is the more common failure of the two. | Covers the clicking burner that never catches. |
| Oven igniter or bake element | Part cost by series, and access — a range cavity is reachable from the front; a built-in may have to come out of the cabinet run. | Most common cause of an oven that will not come up to heat. |
| Oven control board or recalibration | A recalibration is labour only and the cheapest outcome here. A board is the dearest, and the price follows the board revision your model takes. | F-codes, runaway temperature, dead display. |
| Refrigerator evaporator fan or defrost fault | A single fan motor sits well below a full defrost circuit, and how much of the freezer liner comes apart to reach the coil sets the labour. | The usual answer to "fridge warm, freezer fine". |
| Sealed-system diagnosis and repair | The one job that opens the sealed system — recovery, brazing, evacuation and a fresh charge. Comfortably the most expensive line on this board, and quoted only after gauges are on. | We tell you plainly when it is not worth doing. |
| Ice maker fill valve or module | A fill valve alone against the whole ice module, plus whether the supply line has to be run back to the shutoff. | Includes flushing the fill line back to the shutoff. |
| Dishwasher drain pump or door leak | Clearing a jammed pump is far less than replacing one, and a gasket is less than a latch or hinge set. Which it is takes ten minutes to establish. | Standing water, mid-cycle stops, water tracking under the door. |
| Door seal, hinge or alignment work | Gasket, hinge set, or both. Panel-ready and integrated doors add time because they come off and go back without marking the cabinetry. | The cheapest work we do, and often the fix for a unit that "will not hold heat". |
- $89 service call, credited in full against an approved repair. No trip charge on top of it inside Issaquah.
- Parts are quoted to the model, not a universal substitute — so the part cost is the model's, not an average.
- If a repair is not worth the money, we say so and charge the service call only.
Crew on site 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days. The phone is answered 24/7, so you can book a slot whenever it suits you.
05 How a call runs
Three steps, no theatre
-
Model number, then symptom
The plate behind the kick panel or inside the door tells us the series, the burner set and the board revision. Two minutes on the phone often narrows the fault before anyone drives out.
-
Meter on it, then a number
Gas pressure at the manifold, continuity across the element, temperature logged in the cabinet — whatever the fault demands. You get the cause and a firm price before a single part is ordered.
-
Fix it, prove it, leave
The repair is run back up to spec in front of you — burners cycled, cavity brought to temperature, cabinet pulled down and logged. No "give it a day and see".
06 Coverage
Inside the Issaquah route
Four neighborhoods make up most of the week. Anywhere else in the I-90 corridor still gets a slot — it may just not be the same morning.
- 98029 Issaquah Highlands Newer hillside builds where Viking ranges and built-in columns went in as a package.
- 98027 Olde Town Issaquah Downtown blocks and Front Street remodels — older cabinetry, tight galley kitchens.
- 98027 Talus Cougar Mountain terraces with 48-inch professional ranges and paired refrigeration.
- 98029 Klahanie Plateau neighborhoods east of the Highlands, mostly full-size built-ins and dishwashers.
07 Field Notes
Diagnose it yourself first
- Viking Oven Running Hot: Reading the Temperature Drift If your Viking oven browns everything in half the stated time, the cavity is running hot. Here is how to measure the drift properly, what each pattern of error points at, and which faults are a calibration and which are a part.
- Viking Range Burner Clicks But Will Not Light A clicking Viking burner is almost never a dead cooktop. Here is what the click actually is, the four things that stop the flame catching, and which of them you can clear yourself in an Issaquah kitchen.

What Issaquah says
5.0/ 5· 1,858 reviews
Water dripping from the ceiling of the fresh food compartment onto the shelves below. The condensate drain was blocked solid and the pan had cracked. Cleared, new pan, dry every day since.
Birgit N. · Olde Town · Sep 2025
Water was tracking out under the door and onto the hardwood. The lower gasket had hardened and pulled away at one corner. New seal, and he checked the leveling feet while he was down there.
Anneke S. · Talus · Nov 2025
Thermometer read thirty degrees under whatever I set. He logged the cavity through two full cycles before touching anything, then recalibrated. Roasts come out the way they used to.
